This grading structure applies predominantly to Laptops but will also indicate general condition of PCs and LCD Monitors.

Each relevant item will be given a grade due to it having some or all of the issues listed below.

A Grade

Excellent Condition

• All casing present
• No cosmetic damage or only the barest signs of use
• Barely noticeable scratching/scuffing
• Only a few shiny keys
• Light wear to the palm rest and mouse
• Zero screen blemishes

A- Grade

Very Good Condition

• All casing present
• Light/localised scratching/scuffing on casing
• Several worn keys
• Worn palm rest and/or mouse
• Barely visible screen blemishes that cannot be seen during normal use

B Grade

Good Condition

• Heavier/more widespread scratches to casing
• Hairline cracks
• Screen blemishes including blotches, pressure marks or screen rub
• Minor parts of case missing (PCMCIA cover etc)

C Grade

In poor condition

• Widespread/deep scratches to casing
• Heavily cracked casing
• Substantial pieces of casing missing
• Cracked Screen
• Heavy blotching on screen affecting vision
